Dr. Francis Kania is a lifelong resident of Illinois. Born in Chicago, Dr. Kania grew up in LaGrange and currently lives with his wife and children in Lombard.
Dr. Kania attended Illinois Benedictine College (now Benedictine University) in Lisle, Illinois. While attending Illinois Benedictine College, Dr. Kania became interested in pursuing a career in podiatric medicine. After receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in biology from Illinois Benedictine College, he attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago (now part of the Roslind Franklin School of Medicine), where he received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Kania completed a two year, podiatric surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery at Loretto Hospital, Chicago Illinois. His residency training involved rotations in Medicine, Physical Therapy, Emergency Medicine, Wound Care, and Surgery. He is privileged to remain involved in the surgical training of podiatry residents.
He provides comprehensive care of the foot and ankle and specializes in corrective surgical treatments of the foot and ankle, general foot care, heel/arch pain, diabetic foot care, wound care and most foot maladies.
Dr. Kania keeps abreast of the latest advancement in podiatric medicine by attending multiple education conferences and training seminars each year.
